1.) Make sure you install the program exactly as the instructions
indicate. These programs only install correctly one way. Make
sure there are NO other programs running on the desktop or in
the background. Turn off anti-virus software.
2.) My CD-Rom Drive does not recognize the CD. There are no files.
Try the program on another computer if it is available. This will
help you trouble shoot the problem and determine if it is the
drive or the cd-rom disc with the program on it. If you are sure
the drive is not faulty, the CD-Rom you received is probably defective.
Contact the place where you purchased the program and get another
one.
3.) During installation, a window says "An access violation occurred
while copying the file. C:/WINDOWS/SYSTEM/SHDOCVW.DLL or C:/Windows/system/RichEd32.dll
or any other .DLL file. Check to make sure the .DLL files on
your computer have not been switched to "read only".
They should never be "read only". Some other program or virus
may have changed these files. If they are "read only", find the
file and - right click and change the status.
4.) The lower window in the Materia Medica is black and the help
file text is blank. Durring installation it probably said something
like - The destination file is write protected Windows\System\COMDLG32OCX
Richtx32ocx. Find these files and right click to remove write
protection.
5.) I've installed the program and it says it needs a registration
number to run. It also says - or you must put the CD-Rom in the
drive. This is an anti-theft device. When the program starts up
it looks for a small bit of code on the CD-Rom to open the program.
Only programs that have been downloaded from the internet use
the registration number to open the program. Or, you can upgrade
below.
6.) I can't get the program downloaded from the internet. All
downloading issues should be directed to the company you are downloading
from. After you download the program, you unzip it, then find
the red diamond .exe file in the folder and double click it. This
starts the installation of the program. You will also need some
unlock numbers from the download distribution company.
7.) I am doing everything as per your instructions. CD in, starts
to load then at about 5% it just says, 'cannot read source files'.
You have a defective CD-Rom or you are using a Mac. This is not
a Mac program.

Registration Code -

Instructions: Just download the file and open it. There will be
two databases. One is the "herbal.mdb" Open the Herbal Remedy
Finder folder in your program folder and copy the new database
over the old one. The other is the "homeopat.mdb". Copy and paste
this file over the old file of the same name in the Homeopathic
Remedy Finder folder in your program folder. This will upgrade
both programs.
Type in the Key code when prompted.
